Membership in the Junior League of North Little Rock is open to any woman age twenty-three or up who has a desire to serve the community and a commitment to voluntarism. Sponsorship is not required to become a member of our League. There is no upper age limit.
League membership offers many benefits which include: opportunities for leadership, training, personal and professional skill development, networking, recognition and friendships. Most importantly, League membership offers a chance to give back to the community and experience the fulfillment that comes from helping others.
The Provisional Training Course provides opportunities to learn more about the community, train for volunteering and learn about the responsibilities that come with League membership. New Provisionals take on a project that they will help plan and carry out.
Past Provisional projects have included Heaven's Loft, the C.A.R.E.S. program, Eastgate, through UAMS, (providing a mentoring program for participating mothers), River City Ministry (helping with their clothing and food drives and their Christmas Toy Store), marketing our League cookbook, the ARC, Angel Tree, and many other worthy causes.
For more information, please contact the League office at 501-372-1436 or email jlnlrofficemgr@aol.com.
In the meantime, we invite you to visit a meeting, support a fundraiser or volunteer in one of our projects to get a feel for what we do. The "white gloves and pearls" image of a Junior League member is long past and the member of today is doing hands-on work in the community. We invite you to come join us!
