Community Outreach

Community Outreach, a project of the Junior League of North Little Rock, provides a means for our members to become actively involved with various agencies in the area.

Some of the agencies we have worked with in the past include: Arkansas Foodbank Network, American Heart Association, MDA Telethon, Ronald McDonald House, Easter Seals, Dorcas House, Center for Youth and Families, Little Rock Zoo, Arkansans for Drug Free Youth, Redwood Elementary, Alzheimer's Association, Special Olympics, American Red Cross, Arkansas Children's Museum, Area Agency on Aging, Hugh O'Brien Leadership Conference, Arkansas Children's Hospital, Women and Children First and the Salvation Army.

Our Community Outreach projects include Angel Tree, Kids in the Kitchen, League Locker and our newest project, the Argenta Community Garden.

Opportunities for "above and beyond" service have been presented to League members throughout the year.

This Year
The Junior League of North Little Rock provides trained volunteers to help at numerous local events and charitable programs. We are now taking applications for our 2008-09 Volunteer Opportunities. If you are a non-profit organization in need of trained volunteers for your event or program, please contact Sarah Kinser, Community Outreach Chair at sarah.kinser@yahoo.com for more information.

Here's some of the organizations we have helped this year with volunteer hours —
• KTHV Summer Cereal Drive for Arkansas Foodbank
• Easter Seals Rollin' on the River 5K
• MDA Telethon
• Ronald McDonald House Supper Club
• American Heart Association Festival of Wines
• Pulaski Tech Foundation Tribute Dinner to Mayor Hays
